Session Overview

The party spoke further with Zala's tthe wizard on the third floor, learning the truth about her curse and her rivalry with Markos. They discovered Zala's spellbook and received crucial warnings about the mansion's dangers. A tense encounter with Jeremy, Zala's gibbering mouther pet, taught them about the guest room's strange property of manifesting desires. A mimic disguised as a deer head led to a chaotic combat encounter, where clever teamwork (and Anar's ringette-style curtain rod steering) prevailed. The session ended with the party standing on three active summoning circles in a secret room, candle flames blazing, arcane energy building—and a mimic still impaled on a curtain rod in the doorway.
