Race: Half-Elf (ish)
Age: 80 years old
Background: From a fallen ancient civilization. 10 years of traveling. Tall, at 6'4". Loves alcohol. Carries the party when they need carrying.
Key Traits: High dexterity, excellent sleight of hand, proficient in 7+ languages, occasionally gives us the nat 1 moments to remember.
When the party encountered Jeremy, the gibbering mouther was suffering from a magical pollen allergy. Despite the creaturea being dangerous and nauseating, Anar used empathy to try and calm the beast and help the party understand its plight. This moment showcased Anar's unexpected gentleness and his deep connection with creatures, even monstrous ones.
During the mimic combat, with a wine-soaked shirt and vomit breath, Anar somehow managed to jam a curtain rod into the mimic's mouth and steer it across the hallway like a ringette player. The Acrobatics check of 14 was enough. Pure improvisation. Pure comedy. Pure Anar.
While steering the mimic toward the kitchen doorway, Anar's curtain rod pierced straight through the creature's tongue. 11 damage. The mimic was suddenly pinned, immobilized, held fast in the doorway. An accidental killing blow? No—but an effective one.

Anar was drawn to the eastern guest room by his desire for alcohol. When a shelf of bottles manifested, he immediately wanted one. Strength check 17 was not enough—the bottle wouldn't budge. A second attempt also failed. The bottle is magically bound to the room, unable to leave.
This is an important character moment: Anar's love of drink is both a flaw and a defining trait. The room read his desire and offered it to him, but kept it just out of reach. The party figured out that the room manifests desires but doesn't grant them—it tests the inhabitants.
Standing in the doorway of the dining room, holding a curtain rod with a mimic impaled on it. The mimic is pinned, immobilized, tongue skewered.
Physical anchor keeping the mimic contained. His dexterity is now keeping the creature pinned. If Anar lets go or moves, the mimic is free.
Anar rolled a nat 1 at the worst moment—initiative in combat. He vomited wine and regret on himself and the mimic. Any other character might have been discouraged. But Anar is made of sterner stuff. He took the sickness penalty, grabbed a curtain rod, and turned himself into the party's most creative and effective combatant. He steered a mimic like a ringette stick. He accidentally skewered its tongue. He pinned it with sheer audacity. That's Anar.
